Hard bottoms are the place for this design; the short condensed shape of this lead coupled with the two flat sides makes it the perfect lead for bolt rigs at short to medium range.

By its very nature the flat pear lead lends itself to being fished on marginal slopes, the sides or back or gravel bars and in rivers. But, in fact it is open of the most effective shapes at short to medium range because it holds so well on the lake bed and offers so much resistance to a moving carp.

Popular misconception ‘Flat leads sit on silt’. This does not happen, any lead finds its easiest path through the water so instead of fluttering down to the lake bed, a nose heavy flat lead like this will plummet down side on and nose first. Making it probably less effective in the silt than say a Swivel Pear lead, having said that it is devastating on gravel and is Danny’s first choice in these close range hard-bottomed situations.

Danny noted when filming part 3 of the Underwater Videos ‘I tried a Flatliner Pear on the steep gravel slope to see if it really did hook the carp quicker than a swivel lead of the same shape and to my amazement it really did! I had been testing the lead clips for so long I had ignored the inline lead – not any more!’

Textured Coating:

Lets be clear, from the very start our current camouflaged coating is, we believe, the best on the market by some distance. However, let it not be said that we dont listen to you guys, because our new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand for our famous leads with a textured coating.

So, what are the advantages of a textured lead? Well, the coating is matt, so it simply wont reflect light in the same way as a conventionally coated lead. The textured finish will pick up sediment from the lake bed, adding to the overall subtle effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to take on sediment will also allow the leads to absorb flavours, glugs or dips. Leaving a few leads to soak in Goo is sure to add an extra dimension of attraction.

If you order an item and it isn’t what you expected then we’ll happily take most products back (within 14 days from date of receipt) as long as it is in unused, as new condition and in its original packaging. Non faulty goods returned may be subject to a 20% handling charge of the cost of goods purchased.

Any non-faulty items which are returned outside of 14 days from the date of receipt may be subject to a 25% restocking charge which will be deducted from the final refund.

Please note that ALL non-faulty items must be returned in saleable condition and in all original packaging otherwise a larger restocking figure may be applied as we will be unable to resell the item as new or at anything near its true value.

For some items, such as made-to-order, special ordered items or personal use or hygiene products unfortunately we are unable to take the products back. The Customer shall comply with the ATG Fishing returns procedure as defined below. ATG Fishing will not accept any returned goods should the returns procedure not be followed.

The Customer must contact ATG Fishing by either telephone or by e-mail to obtain a returns authorisation. A returns code will be issued and must be referred to in all correspondence. This number must also be clearly marked on any returned packages. The customer is responsible for returning the goods with 14 days of receiving the item.

In cases where the faulty or damaged goods are rejected within 14 days, the Customer is entitled to a replacement, alternative goods or a refund. The faulty or damaged product must be returned to the location specified by ATG Fishing before the refund or replacement can be issued.

All refunds will be issued within 14 working days of an order being cancelled or items returned.

ATG Fishing accepts no responsibility over returns shipping costs for rejected items unless they are faulty in which case ATG Fishing will cover the normal cost of returning the goods via tracked post or courier but will not cover the cost of express, next day, Saturday, am, special or any other form of expedited delivery.
